Dreamweaver 8 is the program I used to make my website. I love dreamweaver because it was also the program I used to make my very first website when I was 12. I always loved Macromedia’s products but they were bought out by Adobe so Dreamweaver 8 was the last release from Macromedia. You’ll notice that most recent versions of Dreamweaver are CS3 and CS4 from Adobe.
Download Dreamweaver 8 here: http://www.mediafire.com/?k4yhzy5xzz2

1949 - 1961
In the mid-50s the Soviet Union seems to be forging ahead. In October 1957, the first Soviet satellite Sputnik orbits the earth - to the dismay and fear of the U.S., frustrated by its own ineffectual space program. In 1961, the Soviets launch Yuri Gagarin into space. America will have to meet the challenge.

I have already run several bspyware, adware, virus, & rootkit scans. These have all checked out clean. I've cleaned out all the cookies and temporary files. I've defragmented. I have an abundance of free disc space and RAM. Using Windows XP pro. Office 2003 pro. I do have several items loading at startup, but that shouldn't effect opening and closing programs or webpages should it? Could it be my anti-spyware &/or firewalls? I haven't tried running anything with these items disabled yet. Should I do that first? Any sincere information will be deeply appreciated. No smarty-pants answers please, only serious replies. THANKS!
My issue isn't necessarily during start up. It is after the start up. Any time during the day. It can be 20 min. to 6 hr. after I start my computer. IE: When I open a Word Document, or an Excel Page, or the "e" to open my home page on the web, things like this. They take quite awhile to open and load. They also take quite awhile to close when I attempt to close them as well. BUT, minimizing these "windows" is very quick as well as restoring them. It is only the initial opening and the closing that seems to be slow. Does the additional info. help any? I hope so.
I have Symanted Anti-virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Windows Defender (firewall right?), Advanced Windows Care V2 Personal (spyware protection ?firewall?& other options such as spyware removal, registry fix, etc) I will start w/ disabling all but one firewall and test it out from there. I am comfortable with attempting internal adjustments on my computer as well, and will try these suggestions. Thanks!
A couple of things come to mind:
What kind of antivirus are you using? Norton, Panda and McAffe are known for slowing down your system badly. They can cause that behaviour.
Also, make sure you are not running two antiviruses at the same time. That is just a big no no.
Make sure you are not running two firewalls at the same time either.
Second. Do you have Internet Explorer 7 installed? Keep in mind that it might have been forcefully installed via automatic updates. The good people at Micro$oft have decided that everyone likes IE7 and force it into us.
If it is so, uninstall it and see what happens.
I have seen IE7 slow down a system to a crawl. In one particular case, it was so bad that I was forced to re-install windows.
Check also how your system behaves if you disable your anti-spyware protection (which, by the way, you have not told us what it is). Some anti-spyware programs can affect the system performance.
The programs that load at start up also affect your performance. Try disabling them (either one at the time, or all of them and then enabling them one at the time) and see the results. For example, I have seen MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger to affect performance a lot.
Finally, it might be hardware related. I've seen some cases when a memory module is causing a system slowdown. Also, I saw a case (with a very old PC though) where the processor was acting funny, and the computer was crawling. In both cases, the problem was cured by removing and re-inserting the memory or processor. If you feel confident enough to play with your computer's inner parts, you can try that as a last resource.
Good luck.
depends on the way that you build web pages. if you like a visual editor then nvu is good.
if you like coding things yourself then vim is very powerful.
As for best web design company. Well that depends on what you are looking for. Best way to find out is to find a website you like and then find out who is behind it.

Planetary Defense
“Without exaggeration, I can say this is one of the most important documentaries made. You may quote me on this.”
Sir Arthur C. Clarke, Author of many books, including “2001: A Space Odyssey”, Futurist, Colombo, Sri Lanka, May 23, 2007
Synopsis
Scientists and the military have only recently awakened to the notion that impacts with Earth do happen.
“Planetary Defense” meets with both the scientific and military communities to study our options to mitigate an impact.
“Civilization is ill prepared for the inevitable. It’s not if an impact will happen with the Earth, it’s when!”
-Planetary Defense
Who will save Earth?
A 48 minute documentary “Planetary Defense”, about efforts underway to detect and mitigate an impact with Earth from asteroids and comets, collectively known as NEO’s (Near Earth Objects).
“Planetary Defense, the film, is a documentary that explores how ill-prepared we are to prevent our own extinction from asteroid and comet impacts. Filmmaker Mark Moidel interviewed all the right people, asked them all the right questions, and leaves the viewer scared for our future, but empowered to do something about it.”
Neil deGrasse Tyson, Astrophysicist and Frederick P. Rose Director, American Museum of Natural History, NYC, May 24, 2007
Having seen many programmes on the NEO theme, and having been in quite a few, yours is really one of the best - factually accurate (unusual) and with a definite theme (also unusual). You picked excellent people, and you have summarised the NEO situation extremely well!
I have been involved with a number of documentaries, ranging from the BBC to Indian and Estonian TV, your production wins hands-down! A good structure, good people saying good things, and a good message.
Jay Tate, Director of the Spaceguard Centre, UK, May 25, 2007
Planetary Defense. Space Viz Productions, http://www.SpaceViz.com 2007. DVD. Astronomy.
This fascinating program introduces the concept of NEO (Near Earth Objects). Various scientists, science fiction authors (including Arthur C. Clarke), and military spokesmen discuss the probability of asteroids and comets colliding with our planet as well as the potential devastation this would bring. Apparently, asteroids and comets possibly colliding with Earth is not such a far-fetched idea as NASA scientists track a high amount of asteroids to determine their composition and path of travel. Interviewed experts show how to chart and compare data, and specialists speculate on methods of heading off approaching NEOs. Inter-cutting the interviews are space footage and computer graphics worthy of Star Wars films. Although interview segments vary in technical quality, this compelling documentary is a reminder that our planet is a small component of a vast universe, and we are not always in control of our destiny.

Planetary Defense. Space Viz Productions, http://www.SpaceViz.com 2007. DVD. Astronomy.
If terrorism, the economy, and global warming weren’t enough to worry about, this documentary takes worry to a whole new level—planetary extinction! It brings together eminent scientists, Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart, and legendary sf writer Sir Arthur C. Clarke to focus serious attention on the possibility of a catastrophic collision between Earth and an asteroid or other astronomical object. It presents evidence of previous impacts, the possible effect of various collision scenarios, and what actions could be taken to avert such a calamity. The documentary is especially good at showing how scientists are researching the problem and what policy constraints need to be overcome to mount a realistic planetary defense. It presents animations of impacts and scenes of scientific work in a visually appealing, fast-paced manor reminiscent of the Discovery Channel. Clarke and numerous scientists appear on screen. The program is formatted for broadcast with commercial breaks. Recommended for astronomical and popular science collections in all libraries. —Lawrence R. Maxted, Gannon Univ. STS-116 was a Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) flown by Space Shuttle Discovery. Liftoff was originally scheduled for December 7, 2006, but that attempt was canceled due to a low cloud ceiling. Discovery successfully lifted off during the second launch attempt on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 8:47:35 p.m. EST. It was the first night launch of a Space Shuttle orbiter since STS-113, which launched on November 23, 2002.[1]
The mission is also referred to as ISS-12A.1 by the ISS program. The main goals of the mission were delivery and attachment of the International Space Station’s third port truss segment (the P5 truss), major rewiring of the station’s power system, and exchange of ISS Expedition 14 personnel. The shuttle landed at 5:32 p.m. EST on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Kennedy Space Center, a delay of 98 minutes from schedule due to unfavorable weather conditions. This mission was particularly notable to Sweden since it’s the first time a Scandinavian astronaut (Christer Fuglesang) has visited space.
STS-116 was the final scheduled Space Shuttle flight planned for launch from Pad 39B as NASA reconfigures the pad for Ares I launches.[2] The only remaining use of Pad 39B by Shuttles is as a reserve for a potential STS-3xx rescue mission for STS-125, the final Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission.[3]
STS-116 was the last flight of Discovery before maintenance; the next Discovery mission was STS-120, which launched on October 23, 2007.
