   If you don’t know HTML or how to make your own graphics, honestly, you shouldn’t even make a website on Geocities, let alone a domain.

   There is no way to get a top level domain (com/net/org/etc. for free. So it’s impossible to say what the "best" site is, since there is no site.

   There are sites; however, that do offer free domain hosting, but they are often less reliable than paid hosting.

   So….what do you do if you want a domain, but you can’t pay for one?

   It’s rather simple. Since you do not know how to web design, you need to learn how to web design first. It’ll probably take you a few years to learn everything you should know. And by then, you can probably buy your own domain and hosting.

   If you want a domain NOW and you can’t wait, then don’t make a website. In order to web design you need patience. If you don’t have patience, then you shouldn’t web design.
